The Importance of Easter – Part I

Easter or Passover is the season when we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why do we celebrate Easter?

1. Brought us Salvation & Healing

Paul says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:8-9). This refers to us receiving salvation through Jesus death on the cross.
Listen to what Peter says; “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (The Cross), that we, being dead to sins, should live unto RIGHTEOUSNESS: by whose stripes ye were HEALED.” (1 Peter 2:24). This reveals that Righteousness (Salvation) and Healing came by Jesus death and resurrection.

May you experience Salvation and Healing in your family in this season in Jesus Name! I declare Healing in Uganda, Africa and across the globe from the Corona virus pandemic in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Be healed in your family, city and nation during this Easter season in Jesus Name! Glory to God!

2. Rendered Satan powerless and gave us Authority over him.

In Colossians 2:13-15 Jesus rendered Satan and his demons powerless when he died on the cross, and rose again triumphantly from the grave. And He gave us authority over Satan according to Matthew 28:18-20. In Mark 16:17, Jesus said, “In my name you shall cast out devils”.

You are Blessed, Happy Easter!
